Upcoming Volunteer Events
Project COMPASS Fishing Events: It’s that time of year again for Project COMPASS fishing! Volunteers needed for Wednesday, May 28th at the Huff Street dock from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm, event starts at 5 pm. The fishing and picnic event will be on Wednesday, June 25th at the Hiawatha Valley Marine Shelter on West Lake Winona from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm, event starts at 5 pm. Please RSVP to me (stephanie_edeler@fws.gov or 608-769-4408). You don’t need to know how to fish to help out and these are wonderful, fun events.
Friends Meeting: We are happy to be hosting the next Friends regular monthly meeting next Thursday, May 22nd beginning at 4:15 pm in the Refuge Office (102 Walnut Street, Suite 205, Winona). Join us to learn more or to become a participant in planning upcoming events and activities on the refuge.
