Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities for Refuge Kid’s Ice Fishing Event

It’s that exciting time of year where we are getting closer to our Annual Kid’s Ice Fishing Event! The event will be on Saturday, January 11th from 10 am to 12 pm at McNally Landing on Prairie Island Drive, Winona, MN 55987.

Volunteers needed before the event

  • Getting fishing poles and gear setup

Volunteers needed on the day of the event

Inside warming tent:

  • Hand out food (cookies, hot dogs, hot cocoa)
  • Registration Table
  • Setup tables

Outside:

  • Gate Duty (directing people into the event and turning away non-participants)
  • Directing Parking
  • Drilling fishing holes
  • Assisting families with fishing
