Congratulations to the Friends for their 1st place float in the Steamboat days parade! The Friends helped to create a wonderful float that encompassed some of the best parts of the refuge in celebration of our 100th Anniversary. First place was well deserved with all of the efforts, creativity, and time that went into it. Thank you to Friends and staff who worked together to bring more attention to this wonderful place and conservation! Photo of the float below.
Project COMPASS fishing and picnic events went really well. We had a wonderful turn out even with the change in schedule. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and for the Friends group donation of delicious sandwiches, chips, bananas, lemonade, and a 100th Birthday Cake. Everyone had a fun time thanks to your help!
