Welcome to our new Acting Refuge Manager, Wendy Woyczik! Here’s a note to you from Wendy:
“I’ve met some of you already but I’d like to take a moment and introduce myself. I have been with the USFWS for 22 years starting as a seasonal biotech with the St. Croix Wetland Management District. I then landed a permanent position as the Wildlife Biologist at Horicon National Wildlife Refuge before moving to the La Crosse District. I always had a desire to move into management and in 2015 moved to the McGregor District as the Deputy District Manger for 8 years.
We live in Brownsville, MN on our family farm where we raise crops and pasture our horses. My husband Mike works in Onalaska, WI., and we have three children. We are very involved in our local High School Robotics Team and 4H. I look forward to working with all of you and learning the district.”
Thanks to Stephanie Edeler for stepping into Mary Stefanski’s role as FORH’s liaison to the Refuge!
