Refuge Fishing Location Change

Good morning Refuge Friends and Volunteers, due to a large tree, we will not be able to use the Hiawatha Valley Marine shelter and dock for the June 7 Project COMPASS fishing event. We will hold the event at the Kiwanis Shelter at the Spillway Landing on Prairie Island instead. This will mean shore-fishing instead of dock fishing but should be a good time. We still have room if anyone wants to volunteer! The event will start at 5:00 p.m. and end at 6:15 p.m. and this is the fishing and picnic event so I do need to know if you will be coming to ensure enough food.
Also, reminder that this Thursday, May 25 at 4:15 p.m. the Friends will hold their regular monthly meeting at the Refuge office, 102 Walnut Street, Suite 205. The meetings are generally done at 5:30 p.m. and are always both informative and entertaining. Click here for the agenda.
