A big “Thank You” to Winona Scout Troop 13 for their efforts in cleaning up a dump site on the Refuge near Garvin Brook in MN City. It was a wet day but they and Biological Science Technicians Hannah and TJ collected three pickup truck loads of trash!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 21! The Friends of the Refuge Headwaters has been selected to be the nonprofit recipients of the H3O Jazz Jam held at Island City Brewing Company (65 East Front Street) in Winona from 2:30 – 5:30pm. More details will follow but in a nutshell, the money you put in the tip jar will be tripled and given to the Friends group to do good things!
