Friends April Meeting and Other News

Refuge Friends and Volunteers, the next Friends meeting will be held on Thursday, April 28 beginning at 4:15 p.m. at the Refuge office (102 Walnut Street, Suite 205) and there will also be a call-in option. April 23 – River Cleanup – it might be a little wet but we are going ahead with the river cleanup on Saturday. We will NOT be using boats due to the predicted wind but will instead walk the trails in and around the Aghaming Unit including along the Flyway Trail. If you would like to participate and haven’t yet registered, please contact [email protected] or call 507-454-7351. The cleanup will take place from 9:00 – noon.

April 25 – The Halfmoon Landing located near Kellogg, MN will be closed intermittently beginning Monday, April 25 while three fishing platforms are replaced. We will work with the contractor to keep the landing open as much as possible but need to ensure everyone is safe while construction is underway.
