Volunteers Needed to Plant Seedlings This Week

Refuge Friends and Volunteers, we just learned that we will likely receive 1,500 tree seedlings next week. We will need to get them in the ground ASAP after delivery and need your help! These should be fairly easy to plant using a dibble bar (so no digging) but bending/squatting to plant the seedlings will be required.

We are planning on planting Thursday and Friday, May 20 and 21 at various locations across the refuge from Nelson, WI to Homer, MN. Due to continued social distancing requirements, we will ask that volunteers meet at the designated planting location and we will limit the group size at each planting location to ensure social distancing.
