Paddle the Chippewa River with Ranger Ed

You are invited to join Refuge Ranger Ed Lagace for a free paddle on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The trip will begin on the Chippewa River and return through the Nelson-Trevino Bottoms of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge (Refuge). Because of river current, this trip is recommended for experienced paddlers.

Registration is required by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12 by calling or emailing Ranger Ed at 507-494-6236 or [email protected]. The Refuge will provide canoes, paddles and PFDs for your use, or you can bring your own equipment.

The Chippewa River Landing is located on the eastern shore of the Chippewa River just north of Hwy 35 between Nelson and Pepin, WI. The GPS coordinates for the landing are 44°26`13.89″N 92°04`17.87″W.
