Bald Eagle Rescue

On Wednesday, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Ranger Ed Lagacé assisted in the rescue of an injured bald eagle on the banks of the Mississippi near Dresbach. Details and a video can be found here:

Many thanks to the volunteers who assist the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge by transporting injured eagles to the Raptor Center on the University of Minnesota campus in St Paul. The International Owl Center in Houston is also awesome with finding and organizing these transport volunteers.
